Juventus and Inter Milan are some of the top Italian clubs that have been going through fairly busy transfer windows. Walter Mazzarri, the head coach of Inter Milan wants to win a Serie A title with Inter Milan which is something that the club has not managed to do since 2010. Not only that but they have also been unable to qualify for the Champions League for 2 consecutive years.
Just as a vast amount of player are joining the squad of Walter Mazzarri there will also be a few players that are expected to leave the Italian before the transfer window concludes at the end of August. The Colombian midfielder Fredy Guarin is a target of Manchester United’s Louis van Gaal and a deal in the region of €19 million is reported to be on the verge of completion.
Fredy Guarin is mostly being seen as an alternative target for Louis van Gaal just in case the Dutch manager fails to sign Arturo Vidal or Paul Pogba from Juventus which are some of his priority targets.
Arturo Vidal and Paul Pogba both play important roles in Juventus as they are consistent performers for the Italian club and it seems highly unlikely that the new coach Massimiliano Allegri has any plans of selling any of those players. This is where the Colombian midfielder Fredy Guarin comes in as he is quickly turning out to be a more likely target for Louis van Gaal and Manchester United.
The pre-season schedule for Walter Mazzarri and Inter Milan has seen the Italian squad picking up triumphs against Real Madrid and As.Roma as they faced off in the International Champions Cup and a penalty session gave a late victory to Inter Milan against Real Madrid.
Mazzarri is aiming for a top 3 finish during the approaching season of the Italian League Serie A which can allow Inter Milan to compete in the Champions League.
