Luciano Spalletti has warned his Inter Milan players about potential complacency when they take on SPAL this weekend. After an inconsistent start to the campaign, Inter Milan are starting to go on a winning run that has seen them signify consecutive wins since the last international break. Inter are now going for a sixth consecutive win in all competitions when they travel to the Stadio Paolo Mazza this weekend. A crucial element that would help Inter Milan in this game would be the form of players like Icardi, who had a difficult start to the season but is now back in the goals.
“Every match is a test and every situation we face will be an opportunity to show that we’re worthy of Inter. We need to maintain the quality that we’ve shown in this run of wins. I’m certain that the team will be ready, especially mentally. We’ve still not shown our best and we can’t feel comfortable because of these wins, even if they were in the Champions League,” said Spalletti. Last season, the club had a fourth place finish – the joint-best campaign for the club since the 2010-11 season.
